Job Summary

We are actively seeking observant, reliable, and highly professional individuals to join our Asset Protection team. As a Security Associate, you will conduct floor surveillance, monitor the store entrances, and act as a strong visual deterrent to external theft. You will serve as a safety ambassador, delivering the signature reliability that sets Food Lion apart in the grocery retail industry. This role requires a calm demeanor, strong customer service skills, and excellent situational awareness.

Comprehensive Responsibilities

• Visible Deterrence: Conduct continuous, uniformed patrols of the sales floor and entrance areas to deter shoplifting and ensure a safe shopping environment.
• Safety Compliance: Monitor emergency exits, fire extinguishers, and aisles to ensure the store remains compliant with local safety regulations and free of trip hazards.
• Incident Support: Assist store management in documenting security incidents, maintaining accurate logs, and writing detailed, objective incident reports when necessary.
• Customer Service: Act as an approachable authority figure, greeting customers as they enter, providing directions to aisles, and ensuring they feel safe.
